Who is Melanie Martinez?
Melanie Adele Martinez, a celebrated American singer, and songwriter, was born on April 28, 1995. Born in Astoria, Queens, and raised in Baldwin, New York, Martinez became well-known in 2012 after participating in the American television singing competition The Voice. After the performance, she used Atlantic Records to release her first song, “Dollhouse,” and her debut EP, “Dollhouse,” in 2014.

Melanie Martinez later released, ‘Cry Baby (2015),’ her debut studio album, which the Recording Industry Association of America later certified double-platinum (RIAA). Martinez’s tracks “Mad Hatter,” “Sippy Cup,” Cry Baby,” “Mrs. Potato Head,” “Pacify Her,” and “Soap” were all given gold certification in the United States.
