‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ starring Stephanie Hsu, Michelle Yeoh, & Ke Huy Quan, won numerous awards for their performances at the Film Critic Association U.K Awards 2022. The film undoubtedly becomes one of the top 10 movies in 2022.

The 2022 American absurdist comedy-drama Everything Everywhere All at Once was written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (also known as “Daniels”). It was co-produced by Anthony and Joe Russo. The story revolves around Michelle Yeoh’s character. This Chinese-American immigrant learns during an IRS audit that she must communicate with alternate-universe versions of herself to stop a powerful creature from destroying the multiverse.

In supporting, roles are Stephanie Hsu, Jenny Slate, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong,  Harry Shum Jr., and Jamie Lee Curtis. The New York Times referred to the movie as a “swirl of genre anarchy” that combined aspects of animation, science fiction, fantasy, and martial arts movies.

In 2010, Kwan and Scheinert began researching the multiverse theory, and by 2016, they had started writing the script. The lead part was initially intended for Jackie Chan, but it was later revised and offered to Yeoh. The principal filming took place from January to March 2020. Son Lux wrote the soundtrack for the movie, working with artists including Mitski,  André 3000, David Byrne, and Randy Newman.

Everything Everywhere All at Once had its South by Southwest debut on March 11, 2022, and on March 25, 2022, it began a limited theatrical run in the United States. On April 8, 2022, A24 will release the film in theatres nationwide. It exceeded Hereditary (2018) in terms of global box office revenue and broke the $100 million mark, becoming A24’s first movie to do so.

The film, which many people believe to be among the best of the best films of 2022, has received much praise from critics. The general public liked it for its creativity, visual effects, humor, direction, editing, acting, and treatment of themes like existentialism, absurdism, nihilism, and Asian-American identity.

It was ranked among the best ten movies of 2022 by the American Film Institute and the National Board of Review. The movie got record-breaking 14 nominations at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards, including Best Picture, and six at the 80th Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Director.
