Dave Grohl fed 500 folks at the Hope Mission in LA

In a long Barbeque session last week, Foo Fighters’ guitarist & singer Dave Grohl put down his pick and dove into the fire to help Los Angeles’ Hope Mission feed the hungry. The Head of the charity was all praise for the rocker.

On Wednesday, February 22, at midnight, Grohl began work by bringing his own meat smoker and covering all expenses.

According to TMZ, Grohl paid for all the costs and napped in the parking lot while the meat was smoking after spending 16 hours preparing ribs, brisket, pig butt, cabbage, and beans in the kitchen.
The feast, which fed about 450 visitors and 50 staff members, was then reportedly served with assistance from the rock star.

Dave Grohl is demonstrating once more why he is a rock star both on and off the stage.
