Lenny Kravitz rocks as the iHeartRadio Music Awards (2023) host

Lenny Kravitz feels at ease as he prepares to host his first award presentation tonight (March 27) at the 2023’s iHeartRadio Music Awards.

In November, Lionel Richie got inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; John Sykes and Tom Poleman, two longtime friends and iHeart Radio executives, saw his true presenting style.

Over his long career as a boundary-pushing rock singer, the 58-year-old hitmaker has inspired countless pop stars and up-and-coming musicians.

Lenny Kravitz is happy to watch “such artistic freedom” as she observes a new generation of Black artists centred in rock, pop, and alternative settings.

Pink and Taylor Swift, who both won on Monday night, made cameos at the radio-themed show, which also featured Ice Spice, Phoebe Bridgers,  and Doja Cat as presenters and performances by Kelly Clarkson,  Keith Urban,  Latto, and other musicians.

Lenny Kravitz, the event’s host, began the festivities at the Dolby Theatre on a solemn note by honouring the victims of Monday’s tragedy at a Tennessee private Christian elementary school.

Pink, who will get the Icon Award in 2023, gave a breathtaking performance of “Trustfall,” the lead single from her ninth studio album.  Doja Cat, Becky G, Bebe Rexha, and H.E.R were spellbound as dancers defied gravity by bouncing between trampolines and the stage’s walls.

Taylor Swift’s tourmate and friend, Phoebe Bridgers, gave her the Innovator Award.

Kravitz is eager to embark on the next leg of his globe tour because his upcoming two albums are “pretty much cut.”

Nine musical acts from different genres performed on Monday evening at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards, including Kravitz himself, Muni Long, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Latto, Cody Johnson, Kelly Clarkson, and Coldplay, whose stop on the Music of the Spheres World Tour is in Brazil, will watch the event live from their location there.

Cher, Jordan Davis, Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills, H.E.R., Joel McHale, TLC, Nicole Scherzinger, Nikki Glaser, Donald Faison, Phoebe Bridgers, Zach Braff, Vella Lovell, and more will all make cameos at the iHeartRadio Music Award ceremony.

The 2023’s iHeartRadio Awards were, all in all, a night of outstanding performances, moving speeches, and well-deserved accolades. The anticipation for the upcoming show is high.
