Dave Grohl fed 500 folks at the Hope Mission in LA
In a long Barbeque session last week, Foo Fighters’ guitarist & singer Dave Grohl put down his pick and dove into the fire to help Los Angeles’ Hope Mission feed the hungry. The Head of the charity was all praise for the rocker.
On Wednesday, February 22, at midnight, Grohl began work by bringing his own meat smoker and covering all expenses.
So, without telling anyone, Dave Grohl brought his giant smoker and cooked/fed barbecue and sides for 500 folks at Hope Mission in L.A. during the storms. Paid for it all. Worked 16 hours. So, when the aliens get here and ask “who’s in charge?”, I think we take them to Dave… https://t.co/CFIH4GOsfb pic.twitter.com/6BrUqjsgA6

According to TMZ, Grohl paid for all the costs and napped in the parking lot while the meat was smoking after spending 16 hours preparing ribs, brisket, pig butt, cabbage, and beans in the kitchen.
The feast, which fed about 450 visitors and 50 staff members, was then reportedly served with assistance from the rock star.
Dave Grohl is demonstrating once more why he is a rock star both on and off the stage.
The Foos also revealed three additional headline performances on Tuesday morning, February 28. The group is getting ready to perform their first set of shows since the shocking murder of drummer Taylor Hawkins in Colombia last March while on tour.
As of the publication, the group had yet to decide on the drummer for its 2023 dates.
Other performances at festivals like Bonnaroo, Sonic Temple, Boston Calling, Rock Am Ring, Harley-Davidson Homecoming, Rock Im Park, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Fuji Rock, and The Town and Sea have also got added.
The Foos have now announced concerts for May 24 at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire; June 14 at the Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arkansas; and June 16 at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham, Alabama. Tickets for all three events will be sold to the general public on Friday, March 3, at 10 a.m. local time.
