Why did Jenni and Roger divorce? Check out the reason!
Jenni “JWoww” Finally, Farley is speaking about the question, Why did Jenni and Roger divorce? Farley, who is now 34 years old, confronts the breakup for the first time on camera in an exclusive sneak look provided to PEOPLE for the episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation that will air on Thursday. After almost three years of marriage, she filed for divorce from Mathews in September of last year, but she has steadfastly refused to discuss the topic thus far in this season.
Despite the fact that they continued to spend time together as a family after the divorce was filed and even celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary in October, the relationship took a turn for the worse in December after Farley filed for a restraining order against Mathews following an argument the two of them had.
In the video, Farley, who is 34 years old, expresses her irritation over their conflict being played out in front of the world. She says to Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, “I had the impression that remaining silent was for the greater good.” “It is,” Polizzi echoes with the agreement, “for your kids.” “And who wants this s—- out in public, anyway? I would suppose that he does.” “No matter how strained our relationship became, I never once raised my voice because I knew it was the proper thing to do,” Farley explains. “Therefore, the fact that he went public represents the gravest treachery in my eyes.”
Mathews, 44, alleged that Farley was “hysterically shouting” at him and threatened to call the cops while they were fighting about her going back to work in a series of videos that were posted on Instagram on December 14, including several that were filmed in the back of a police car.
Mathews filmed several of the videos in the back of a police car. Mathews claimed that he was the one who phoned the police, and after they had left, he went out to record a podcast with a buddy. After that, he returned home and went to sleep without further contact with Farley.
He claimed that the police woke him up at 2:00 in the morning and removed him from his home after informing him that Farley had contacted the judge and filed a restraining order against him. He also stated that he was notified of this fact before being removed.
A representative for the Toms River Police Department at the time confirmed to PEOPLE that officers were called to the couple’s house at around one in the morning “for a civil matter.” According to the statement made by the spokesperson, a temporary restraining order was handed to Mathews, and he was offered transportation to another location.
Following “some incidents that transpired,” Farley stated in a statement released the next day through her representative that she “thought it was in her best interests, and the best interests of her children,” to contact the authorities in the situation. The statement said that she takes great satisfaction in the fact that she is a responsible parent who provides for her children.
“Although we have decided not to discuss this further, we would like to point out that a judge promptly found in favor of Jenni and issued a temporary order of protection yesterday night. While we have opted not to comment further, we would like to point this out. Please accept Jenni’s decision to request seclusion at this time so that she can better shield herself and her children from potential danger.” In this clip, Farley acknowledges to the filmmakers that the topic of her divorce is “a sensitive one.”
She has a daughter named Meilani, who is five years old, and a son named Greyson, who is three years old. She says, “I didn’t want to talk about it publicly out of respect for my children.” “When those tapes were made public, I felt as though that was a really, really low blow by Roger,” she said.
“So when those videos came out….” “Everyone was condemning Jenni for keeping the kids away from Roger when that’s not even the reality,” Polizzi insists. “Everyone was attacking Jenni for keeping the kids away from Roger.” “Unbeknownst to everyone else, Jenni allowed Roger to continue living in the house after she filed for divorce so that he could continue to spend time with the children.
However, he would engage in physical conflict in front of the children. Therefore, when she decided enough was enough, she called the police and told him, “You’ve got to get out.” But she never said that Roger is prohibited from seeing his children.” In spite of the rumors circulating among fans on social media, Farley maintains that she did not have Mathews arrested in any way.
She claims that people believe she was responsible for his arrest, but this is not the truth. “Because there’s no way you’d be caught with a phone in the back of a police car! They were being courteous by offering him a lift in their vehicle.” She continues, “I’m in the public spotlight, and I just don’t want this to get out of control.” “I just want this to calm down,” she says.
“Even after everything that’s happened, he’s still the father of my children. I’ve got to keep everything together.” “To tell you the truth, it’s all about the kids,” adds Polizzi. “In all that I do in this life, and especially now,” Farley says, “the kids come first.” “For him to actually just piss on all of that and call me a piece of s—- mom, that’s a disgusting way to treat your mother,” she said.
She says, “The last thing I want is this divorce to drag on.” “Thank goodness we have the prenuptial agreement because this mess needs to be put to rest as soon as possible.” Since then, it would appear that Farley and Mathews have put any previous hostility between them in the past. They got back together to celebrate Easter with their respective children, and in May, Farley revealed to PEOPLE that she and Mathews were getting along well. In addition, she has moved on romantically, and as of April, she has been dating professional wrestler Zack Clayton Carpinello, who is 24 years old.
