Damon Lindelof’s #StarWars Film Is Being Planned To Set After ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’
The secret Star Wars movie project is being led by Damon Lindelof . In Sunday night it was revealed that Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who was directed two episodes of Ms. Marvel, was on board as helmer.

According to the sources the story would take place after the 2019’s event of Star Wars : “The Rise Of the Skywalker’. But it would not be the continuation of Skywalker Saga.
It is planned to features the characters from the 2010s ‘Sequel Trilogy’.
Lindelof stated in May 2020 that he was interested in stepping into the Star Wars universe “at some point, but certainly not in the immediate future.” He added, “Maybe a decade from now when I would no longer be blamed for ruining it. That would be a hoot.” However, rumors began circulating in March that the acclaimed showrunner was writing a new movie for Lucasfilm.

Interesting Facts
It was revealed that Lindelof is writing the new script with Justin Britt-Gibson, a young and rising writer who worked as an executive story editor on Guillermo del Toro’s vampire drama, The Strain, and wrote episodes of Starz’s The Counterpart, a series that deals with parallel dimensions and starred J.K. Simmons. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel) will serve as director.
Dave Filoni, a protégé of Star Wars creator George Lucas who is involved in many of the shows, may have also been present.
