Victoria Monét drops new video ‘Smoke,’ featuring Lucky Daye

Victoria Monét is officially launching her Jaguar II era. She released her brand-new song, “Smoke,” a fiery collaboration with Lucky Daye, tonight.

The dynamic duo switches roles for Lucky Daye’s newest single, “Smoke,” three years after Victoria Monet joined him on the well-received song “Little More Time” (found on the deluxe edition of his debut album “Painted” from 2019).

The sizzling music, created by Tim Suby,  D’Mile, and Yogi, is steamy enough to trigger a smoke detector.

Produced by grammy Award & Oscar-winning producer D’Mile, the island-flavored ‘Smoke’ comes as the first single from Monet’s forthcoming ‘Jaguar II ‘project – the conceptual follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2020 EP ‘Jaguar ‘– and sees her trade verses with Daye laden with metaphors about the passing of puff-puff.

The song is a homage to marijuana, full of cunning analogies and references showing how unbeatable Victoria Monét and Lucky’s pen game still is. The song has all the ingredients to become a sexy, funky, carefree anthem, accompanied by a beat created by D’Mile.

She joins a roster that includes Bryson Tiller; She joins a roster that provides for Bryson Tiller,  Jazmine Sullivan, H.E.R.,  Chris Brown, and more.

The newly-signed singer celebrates her new label home with her freshly-released tune “Smoke” alongside Lucky Daye, who is also with RCA.

In the video, the two get pictured in the desert, with Lucky operating the grill and Monét lounging in a lawn chair. The two later escape on a motorcycle and arrive at a motel.

Monét can be seen pole dancing near the end of the video as the camera pans out to reveal she is inside a glass bong that Lucky is leaning against.

According to Monét, fans may expect her new album Jaguar II, to appear soon. Her first release after joining RCA Records will be Jaguar II.

“’ Smoke’ is the beginning of a new era for me! Exhaling the old and inhaling the unknown.” said Monét.
