TWICE embraces romantic style on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” wearing corset dresses

TWICE, the South Korean girl’s group brought a touch of romance to the NBC chat show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on March 14, Tuesday.

TWICE stars coordinated in voluminous sleeves, floral designs, and corset minidresses with bow accents. The group stayed with a white, cream,  yellow, and blush pink color theme. Nayeon of Twice stood out with translucent black tights with appliqués. They all wore black boots to celebrate their television appearance, ranging from conventional heeled thigh-high leather boots to combat boots.

Compared to their style choice for their performance at the Billboard Women in Music Awards earlier this month, the group’s color combination for their appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson” was lighter and more spring-inspired. The band chose a dark color palette with fur trims, gloves, and other embellishments to take the stage during that occasion.

TWICE’s appearance on the program provided Clarkson with a pronunciation lesson for the group member Tzuyu. Tzuyu was spotted wearing a costume jewelry necklace by Chanel in a close-up shot of the sneak preview footage.

The trio also performed their brand-new song, “Moonlight Sunrise,” during the show. The track is off TWICE’s most recent album, “Ready to Be,” which came out on March 10. The album marks the twelfth extended play by the girl’s group from South Korea.

The K-pop group has released two English-language singles after the debut of “Set Me Free,” the second of which is “Moonlight Sunrise.” Music critics have so far given the EP positive reviews.

Kelly asked each participant what they liked best about living in the country, and the responses included things like the scenery, food, tacos, and obviously, seeing ONCE!

TWICE’s girls discussed “Moonlight Sunrise,” their second English-language single.

The host first checks the pronunciation of lead dancer Tzuyu’s name before asking her about the significance of the K-pop nontet’s newest song.

When it came Tzuyu’s turn to respond to this query, Kelly enlisted the assistance of their translator to help her pronounce her name correctly. Then Tzuyu asks her to say it with the pronunciation “Chewy.”

Due to Kelly’s inadvertent charm, viewers can identify with her reaction to the accent, and the interaction is going viral abroad.

Tzuyu explained to Kelly Clarkson through an interpreter that “Moonlight Sunrise” is a song about desiring to understand another person’s thoughts. And they compare that fluttering heart feeling when you’re in love to moonlight and daybreak using metaphors.

Ready to Be, the new mini-album from the idols also includes fan favorites like  “Got the Thrills,”  “Set Me Free,” and “Blame It on Me.” The scintillating single “Moonlight Sunrise” is included on the album.

TWICE has spent the past week promoting the album, including a visit to the Empire State Building and a “Set Me Free” performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The release of the full-length marks the band’s first visit the United States for a comeback.

In April 2021, TWICE debuted on the NBC chat show with a performance of “Cry For Me.”
