At the 2023 Golden Globes, Yellowstone actor Kevin Costner triumphed, but host Regina Hall couldn’t stop joking over his absence.
The award for best actor in a TV drama series went to Costner, a two-time prior Globe winner, for his portrayal of patriarch John Dutton in the Paramount Network series. She appeared to have a problem accepting Regina Hall’s explanation that Costner couldn’t attend because of recent storms in Southern California.
She chuckled as she read that Costner “so much” wanted to attend the ceremony from the teleprompter: “I always enjoy the way they write this. “He so much…” No, I’m certain he didn’t. He had to “shelter in situ in Santa Barbara,” she said. “Jesus. No, this is a tragic story right now” (laughs).
