The Puerto Rican musician is known to veer off in unexpected headings. Rauw Alejandro is famous for his speedy-footed, repulsive choreography and dance moves with his direction through a giddying blend of tracks: Suggestive, indecent raps on his two-section EP Trap Cake, crashing old-school reggaeton on Afrodisiaco. 2021’s album “Vice Versa” was his most significant victory between pop, drum ‘n’ buss, and a sharp sophomore exertion somersaulted. Rauw’s superhit album “Task De Ti” was selected for that year’s Latin Grammy Grants.
Rauw’s third album Saturno is a transmission from the state-of-the-new world in space, based on brilliant synths, smooth dancefloors, and Eighties and Nineties techno sparkle. It’s not an unfamiliar region: The album “Saturno” squeezes into pop’s post-COVID-19 interest with euphoric club sounds, wandering in a parallel universe as Dua Lipa’sFuture Wistfulness and The Weeknd’s Daybreak FM. In any case, Alejandro has found a spot in the universe that is mainly his, forming Saturno into crepuscular heaven that likewise runs on reggaeton. Rauw gets impacts from across Puerto Rico and adds extra pop stardust from “Todo De Ti,” soaring audience members into the spreads of his creative mind.
Rauw offered fans an unforeseen combined effort with Baby Rasta from Urban Pioneers. Gringo & Baby Rasta, rejuvenating another adaptation of the pair’s underground reggaeton hit. Reinforced with new sounds, and when the track is a superhit, it’s nothing unexpected that this melody has proactively turned into a viral sensation.
