Miley Cyrus released her new single ‘Flower’ with a music video
Miley Cyrus is kicking off 2023 with a lot of love for herself. The singer’s anticipated single “Flowers,” the lead single from her album “Endless Summer Vacation,” was made public on Thursday, December 12. The album is expected to release on March 10.
There, her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth began celebrating his birthday.
Given the song’s “I can love me better, baby” slogan and the fact that it was released on Hemsworth’s 33rd birthday, fans have assumed, based on the lyrics, that it may be about her life after the actor and she split up.

The wide-angle video opens with Miley Cyrus crossing a bridge while dressed in a golden top, hood, and sunglasses while singing about the end of a split. Later, as she discovers she can live happily alone, she puts her hair up.
After dating intermittently for ten years, Cyrus and Hemsworth were wed in December 2018. In January 2020, they legally parted. Cyrus said in December 2020 that while she will always adore Hemsworth, their relationship was too tumultuous to last in the long run. The lyrics to “Flowers” seem to reflect what she revealed in that interview about how their relationship ended.

The song’s music video, which Cyrus wrote and Jacob Bixenman directed, features Cyrus expressing her views on courage and self-love while stripping down to her black underwear.
Cyrus smiles as she poses in a black bikini on the side of the pool. The video shows the singer exercising, practicing yoga, and having a hot shower.
In a free-spirited dance to the song as she reminds herself she can be happy alone, Cyrus, dressed in a black suit, finishes the video.
According to a press release, fans have dubbed 2023 the year of Miley because of the song’s lyrics and the excitement surrounding her new music.
Earlier this week, Cyrus shared a video of herself singing along to portions of the song’s lyrics while taking a shower.
While hosting her NBC live special New Year’s Eve Party of Miley with Dolly Parton, Cyrus revealed the “Flowers” release date.
According to the press release for her next LP, the song is “a reflection of the power she’s discovered in focusing on her physical and mental well-being.
“Flowers” is Cyrus’ first taste of solo music since her LP Plastic Hearts in 2020, which included songs like “Prisoner” with Dua Lipa, Angels Like You, and Midnight Sky. That is in addition to her Attention live CD. In 2021, she also worked with Elton John and Kid Laroi on the songs “Nothing Else Matters” and “Without You.”
Over the years, Cyrus has released seven studio albums: Meet Miley Cyrus in 2007, Breakout in 2008, Can’t Be Tamed in 2010, Bangerz in 2013, 2015s, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, and 2017s Younger Now.
Additionally, the singer has released two EPs: Time of Our Lives in 2009 and She Is Coming in 2019.
