Following the release of a large number of fashion photographs by Steven Meisel in December, Louis Vuitton has requested the talented photographer to create another carousel of photos to display the next stage of its partnership with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.

The acclaimed House and artist reconnected with Steven Meisel for this version to create a bright portrait series that showcases some unexpected skills.

Justin Timberlake is the face of the campaign, making his first appearance for the French fashion company as he is pictured wearing two monogrammed leather items decorated with a pumpkin design by Kusama.

This time, Justin Timberlake debuts in the French fashion house’s advertising campaign while sporting two leather accessories with a monogram featuring Kusama’s iconic pumpkin artwork.

Together with Timberlake (who the company clarifies is a house friend rather than an official ambassador), the commercial stars Naomi Osaka, a tennis player, and actors Hoyeong Jung, Cate Blanchett,  Léa Seydoux, and Zhou Dongyu.

Pat McGrath, a makeup artist, adorned the faces and bodies of the stars mentioned above with kaleidoscopic motifs that matched the artworks displayed on their Monogram purses and corresponding Capucines under the creative direction of Ferdinando Verderi.

With the help of McGrath, Timberlake now has a pumpkin patch on his arm, while Jung’s collarbone gets covered in characteristic dots, and Blanchett’s jaw is adorned with blossoms.

Abstract faces captured Seydoux’s eye, and Carine Roitfeld was in charge of the styling for the session.

This Wednesday, March 22, the newest Yayoi Kusama advertising campaign from Louis Vuitton will be seen on billboards.

On March 31, the second wave of the “Creating Infinity” collection will be available in Louis Vuitton shops worldwide.

According to other fashion reports, Jeremy Scott is departing Moschino after ten years.
