Jimin was announced as the new Global Ambassador of Dior

Jimin from BTS will appear at the men’s Winter 23/24 Show as a Global Ambassador for Dior on January 20 at 11 PM KST. Jimin will be making his solo fashion show debut with Dior at this event.

The most liked Instagram post for Dior was announcing Jimin as the brand’s new global ambassador.

Since the announcement, the post has received more than 2.3 million likes, indicating that fans are ecstatic with the news.

As the new worldwide brand ambassador for Dior, the K-Pop singer, whose real name is Park Ji-min, landed a significant fashion role. He wrote on Instagram on January 17: “So pleased to begin a journey with @Dior!” alongside multiple images of himself wearing clothes from the brand’s 2023 lineup.

The BTS band member was ideal for the part, as explained by the French house in addition to the explosive news.

A quote from a press release said, “This exceptional bond solidifies, more than ever, his friendship with the brand and Kim Jones [ Dior Men’s  Artistic Director].” The South Korean artist currently embodies the energy and uniqueness of the Dior style.

Since the members of the South Korean boy bands—Kim Seokjin (Jin),  RM (Kim Namjoon),  J-Hope (Jung Hoseok), Suga (Min Yoongi), V (Kim Taehyung),  Jimin (Park Jimin) and Jung Kook (Jeon Jungkook) — have become so well-known and influential around the world.

It is not surprising that fashion brands and businesses are vying for their business. Singer Brands are looking to Asian consumers to fuel its growth in the fashion industry.

BTS became a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton in 2021, and on January 19, 2023, J-Hope attended its Fall 2023 menswear show in Paris, while V was a guest of Celine at its Paris Fashion Week show the year before.

Kim and Jimin will not be working together for the first time. For the boy band’s Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in 2019, the designer developed onstage looks for the 27-year-old and the other six members, including  J-Hope, Jin, RM, Suga, V, and Jungkook.

Additionally, Jimin and the other members of BTS have recently begun to pursue individual careers.

In a YouTube video from last June, Jungkook declared, “We’re individually going to devote some time to have fun and explore plenty of things.” “We swear we’ll come back someday, even wiser than we are now.”

Jimin claimed that the group members were starting this new chapter to learn more about their personal experiences.

When they announced they would take a break until 2025 to fulfill military obligations, they gave their fans another significant update in October.

Before starting his military service, which he is set to perform through June 2024, BTS’ Jin shared a selfie of himself with a freshly shaved head last month.
