Jenna Ortega, the Wednesday star, is the new Adidas ambassador

Jenna Ortega, a groundbreaking actress, producer, and fashion icon, has been added as the newest member of Adidas’ global family.

Known for being the star of the Netflix series Wednesday, Ortega has long been a supporter of the Three Stripes.

In a press release, the 20-year-old actress said, “My love for Adidas is one that goes back years.

“It’s always had such a presence in sports, music, and culture and continues to be Growing up for me. It always had to be Adidas sneakers and tees as the go-to. To this day, so much of my wardrobe is made up of the iconic Three Stripes. I feel so honored to become a part of this legendary family of changemakers and be the face of all new label. Can’t wait to show you guys,” she added.

Why did Adidas Choose Jenna Ortega as Their New Brand Ambassador?

In Adidas’s eyes, the Mexican and American actress personifies the unrelenting quest for creativity upon which the company was founded more than 70 years ago. In response, the Three Stripes has chosen to make Ortega the face of Adidas Sportswear, the company’s first new line in 50 years.

Brian Grevy, the Executive Board Member of Adidas, stated, “At Adidas, we are constantly looking at ways we can push the boundaries in both sport and culture, which is why it’s so exciting that we can announce Jenna Ortega has joined us, to launch our first new label in 50 years.”

“A progressive and passionate next-generation pioneer that is making waves across the globe, her fresh and creative way of thinking is what we, as a brand, found ourselves on and continue to be inspired by. We can’t wait to unveil what’s to come from this special partnership very soon,” Grevy added.

Ortega’s innovation gets highlighted, indicating that the new line will concentrate on lifestyle goods. The Sportswear line’s first capsule features traces of the Adidas Originals collection’s heritage (the famous Wednesday Addams actor, Jenna, has worn the Adidas Samba in present memory).

The new project contains numerous allusions to the Three Stripes’ football history, which Ortega undoubtedly endorses, given her support for the Mexican Football Federation and other groups. Last but not least, a new Bounce-cushioned shoe, the Adidas AVRYN, has been introduced under the new brand.

The decision to recruit Ortega shows that the company is attempting to appeal to Generation Z consumers. The creative from Mexico and Puerto Rico is another Latinx personality on the Three Stripes roster, which is essential information for American customers in the future.

On February 9, adidas.com will offer the inaugural collection of Adidas Sportswear. The launch items range from $55 to $140 USD.

Bjrn Gulden’s appointment as the company’s new CEO got announced by Adidas in November. Previously, Gulden served as Puma’s CEO. He anticipated guiding the business through its post-Kanye West period in his new position after the company ended the Adidas-Yeezy contract.
