Billboard said on December 26 local time that Kim Namjoon, aka RM’s most recent solo album, “Indigo,” has re-entered the Top 200 Albums chart following its physical release in the United States. Indigo entered the weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.
“Indigo” returned to the Billboard 200 for the week ending December 31, debuting at No. 3 for the second time (and becoming RM’s first solo album ever to reach the top 10).

RM, the frontman of the South Korean band BTS, is the first Korean solo artist in history to have his album Indigo debut in the top three of the Billboard 200 chart.
The album’s sales comparatively increased by the December 16 release of its physical CDs, which put Indigo back on the most recent list, which got announced on December 26. The highlighted album held the third position again on the list for December 31.
“Indigo” sold 83,000 equivalent album units for the week ending December 22, according to Luminate (previously MRC Data). The album’s overall score comprised 79,000 traditional album sales and four thousand streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which amounted to 5.3 million on-demand audio streams over the week.

According to Billboard data, it sold 83,000 equivalent album units, of which 79,000 were album sales, and the remaining 4,000 were streaming identical album (SEA) units. By overtaking “IM NAYEON,” the solo debut mini album by Nayeon from TWICE, Indigo became the highest-charting Korean solo album on the Billboard 200.

After going on break in June, the BTS members have been releasing their solo debut albums. Considering they are getting close to the age requirement for obligatory military service, the group’s members decided to remain inactive.
The oldest person in the group, Jin, started his military service on December 13. BTS members RM, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jimin, and Jungkook were with him. As an active duty soldier, Jin is presently assigned to the Division Recruit Training Center at the army installation in Yeoncheon, located in the northern Gyeonggi province.
