The upbeat song has been released, accompanied by an appropriately beautiful music video.
The scene portrays the fictional world intruding on the natural world as Demi Lovato, and her pals go to a private movie screening only to find themselves being pursued by Ghostface himself.
The video’s closing scene features Lovato taking on the prominent role of “Final Girl” as she battles her attacker.
Spencer Charnas and Mike Shinoda appear in cameos in the Jensen Noen-directed video (Ice Nine Kills).  Shinoda, Lovato, and Laura Veltz wrote the song. The video debuted on MTV Biggest Pop, MTVU,  MTV Live,  and on all of MTV’s international channels, in addition to the Paramount Times Square billboards.
In a press release, Lovato stated, “I couldn’t think of a more suitable home for ‘Still Alive’ than within the Scream universe. It’s an honor to be a part of such a well-known horror franchise because I’m a tremendous fan of the movies.”
Spencer Charnas, who plays a hotel employee, receives an invitation from Lovato when she and several pals arrive at the establishment.
The surroundings of the Scream scenes also become more intense. When Lovato and her friends try to fend off Ghostface and flee, the actor who plays the person presenting the movie, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, collapses and dies.
Holy Fvck, the pop-punk album with songs like  “29,” “Skin of My Teeth,” and “Eat Me” with Royal & the Serpent, came last year. “Still Alive” is Demi Lovato’s first single since that time.

Scream VI, directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, will also mark the comeback of Gale Weathers by Courteney Cox and Kirby Reed by Hayden Panettiere.
The movie also stars Samara Weaving, Tony Revolori, Dermot Mulroney, Josh Segarra, Devyn Nekoda, Henry Czerny, Jack Champion, and Liana Liberato.
The remaining cast members from Scream V are:
- Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera)
- Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding)
- Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown),
- and Carpenter (Jenna Ortega)
The cast members from Scream V return in Scream VI as they move on from the Ghostface killings and Woodsboro to begin a new chapter.
Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group will premiere Scream VI in theatres worldwide on March 10.
