Ariana Grande and The Weeknd Reveal ‘Die for You’ Remix

Ariana Grande and The Weeknd fans can celebrate since, on February 21, they hinted at another collaboration on social media.

The Weeknd and Ariana Grande teased fans on social media on Tuesday (February 21) with what appears to be a remix of the 2016 Starboy smash “Die For You” to hint that their collaboration isn’t over.

“After a 14-hour day on the set, I wrote and recorded a verse for my pal. It was necessary to make this specific exception. After a day of filming the musical Wicked, in which she portrays Glinda the Good Witch, Grande captioned a little video in which she can be seen cutting vocal takes and laying down harmonies for a track. When Grande plays back her vocal cut, she can be heard saying, “You know what I’m thinkin’, see it in your eyes / You hate that you want me, hate it when you weep,” which is, of course, the chorus from “Die For You.”

The Grammy winner not only gave fans a sneak peek at how she edited the song, but she could also get heard performing some of the choruses. You can see what Ariana Grande was thinking by the look in her eyes as she sang, “You hate that you seek me; hate it when you cry.” Many of The Weeknd’s followers responded in the comments section after the blonde beauty tweeted the track from Starboy.

The Weeknd uploaded the video again to Instagram, leaving no further information about the likely release date of the remix other than a teary-eyed smiley.

The dynamic combo of pop music has frequently collaborated on musical projects. The Weeknd and Grande collaborated on the Billboard Hot 100’s number-one remix of  “Save Your Tears” by After Hours in 2021. Both “Love Me Harder” from Ariana Grande’s comeback album, “My Everything,” and “Off The Table” from “Positions,” her 2020’s album, both include The Weeknd.

The originator of r.e.m.beauty last released an album in 2021, whereas The Weeknd’s most recent album, Dawn FM, came out in 2022.
